Parent Partnership Policy
As part of our promotion of healthy lifestyles around school, we held a 5 week course for parents and children on Healthy Eating. The free course, run by Lancashire County Council Adult Learning gave parents the opportunity to work with their children to create healthy snacks.
In addition we held a morning course, also run by Adult Learning, on how to Feed you Family for a Fiver.
Just look at the how they all enjoyed themselves!
Maths, English and ICT (E-Safety) Parents Evening
We recently held an evening, for parents, on Maths, English and ICT. Parents came to find out more about how we teach Maths and English throughout school, from Reception to Year 6. There were some practical elements of the evening, including a Year 6 Mental Maths test and learning ‘Kung Fu Punctuation’ (see pictures). As well as this, there was an E-Safety talk which discussed up to date safety issues that may crop up as children grow up in this ever developing technological world! Pie and Peas added to the enjoyment of the evening!
Thank you to all who came and for the wonderful feedback.
Here is some of the feedback we received:
“What an informative evening! Very useful and fun! This will be incredibly beneficial at home.”
“A very informative and pleasant evening. Super atmosphere and all had positive things to say. Thank you very much for the effort and time put in by the staff.”
“E-safety gives every parent something to think about!”
