Art in Great Marsden St John’s goes beyond experimenting with different techniques. Our aim is to provide our children with a culture rich art environment.
The areas of Art we teach have been selected from the National Curriculum and these are supported by immersing the pupils in a wide range of different artists work and materials.
Our curriculum focus is on allowing children to be creative, explore different materials and techniques and be given the opportunity to look at a wide variety of artists through different periods of time and skills.

- Develop painting techniques and colour work
- Collage
- Sculpture
Some of the artists our pupils will study are Kandinsky, Clarice Cliff, Cezanne and Hundertwasser.
